Interested in the characterization and understanding of self-organized processes in a series of colloidal and polymeric systems. Colloid systems governed by electrostatic/steric and hydrophobic/hydrophilic interactions are used as templates in the Synthesis of Polymeric Particles, as well as the encapsulation of inorganic particles and macromolecules, aiming their applications in the area of sustained release of drugs. |

Throughout the last decade, considerable interest has been shown in nanostructured metallic surfaces due to the properties related to the formation of surface plasmons (SP). The Group of Polymers and Nanostructures of Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná - Toledo has been focused on the synthesis of active glasses for nanostructure growth. |

My research line is in molecular biology applied to the identification of microorganisms with biotechnological interest. By isolation, culture and DNA analysis through gene sequencing it is possible to identify species of fungi and bacteria. The species that present biotechnological potential are analyzed for the identification of substances with a biotechnological application, mainly in agriculture. |

Our group is dedicated to the study of electrical and optical properties of conductive, semiconductive and organic insulators thin films. Those thin films are used in the construction of organic electronic devices such as: organic photovoltaics (OPVs), field-effect transistors (OFETs) and biosensors (OECTs). Currently we are focused on the development of organic field-effect transistors and organic electrochemical transistors for biosensors application. |

My research interests are focused on pattern recognition and machine learning, and their application in the resolution of problems for which there is low availability of human expertise and which manual process is subjective, time-consuming, repetitive, and produces low recognition rates. Such problems have their data captured by different instruments and are represented through texts, audios, images and videos, among others. |
